Eggnog: Picture yourself sitting in front of the fireplace on a snowy winter night about to enjoy the heavenly flavor of our eggnog ice cream for a perfect way to start your holiday season.

Pumpkin Pie: All the spices flourish in this flavor which brings back memories of traditional Holiday celebrations.

Ginger: This sophisticated and refreshing flavor is make with both grated fresh ginger and candied ginger. It is especially good served with spice cake.

Cranberry Sorbet: Intense colorful sorbet made with fresh cranberry. This flavor goes well with dark chocolate ice cream or a simple dollop of whipped cream.

Meet Mora’s Neighbor: Poulsbo Marine Science Center

Mora Iced Creamery’s Poulsbo location is surrounded by many wonderful shops and restaurants. Just a few hundred feet across the parking lot sits a gem of a different type — the Poulsbo Marine Science Center.

The small but welcoming center is free to all and boasts the best of the Pacific Northwest’s marine life. Inside you’ll find a touch tank, salt water displays, craft area and movie room.

The center, staffed by trained volunteers and supported by donations, describes their mission as: “Promote lifelong learning and appreciation for the marine environment and underwater technology by enhancing science education with hands on learning and conservation.”

Science Center hours are Thursday through Sunday, 11:00 am to 4:00 pm.

We’re thrilled to be neighbors with the Poulsbo Marine Science Center and highly recommend your family combine a visit there with a Mora ice cream treat!

Last Call for Mora Ice Cream in Kingston!

The time has come to close Mora Iced Creamery’s Kingston location for the season. Sunday, October 2nd will the last day the store is open for 2011.

We hope our Kingston fans understand that Mora’s commitment to quality does not allow this location to remain open year-round. Our ice creams and sorbets last little more than a week at serving temperature, and without the traffic that warm weather brings to the area we are not able to generate enough sales without sacrificing our product.

We appreciate your loyalty and hope you will visit either our Poulsbo or Bainbridge location until Kingston re-opens again in the spring. Thank you!

AAA’s Top 10 of Seattle List Talks Mora

AAA has published A Top Ten List: Favorite Experiences in Seattle, Washington and you guessed it – a ferry ride to Mora Iced Creamery made the cut!

Along with coffee and the Seattle Art Museum their Inspector Diaries series shares:

5. Riding the ferry over to Bainbridge Island. The round trip ferry ride from downtown Seattle to Bainbridge Island is worth it for the picturesque views alone. I snapped shots of Elliott Bay, Mount Rainier, the Cascades and the city of Seattle, all while enjoying the water and cool breeze. But I recommend taking time to explore the community of Bainbridge Island. I wished I’d had a bike to explore the whole island, but I settled for walking around the charming downtown area and just window shopping. Make sure to stop at Mora Iced Creamery for some insanely good ice cream. The locals told me city folk from Seattle sometimes make the ferry ride just for Mora’s.

Thanks to the “locals” for helping Mora bring people together!
